Hire Double-U Improv
Interactive workshops, custom shows, and improv/musical improv experiences for teams, colleges.

Improv workshops for company & teams
Short-form improv games and scenework build listening, support, and creative risk-taking skills. Skills that not only read on stage but also in meetings and your everyday life. Sessions can emphasize collaboration, presentation confidence, or “yes, and” communication; format and tone are tailored to your group or event.
Colleges & students
We'll travel to your college or university to lead workshops in improv and musical improv, and offer shows for your student body/events. Workshops introduce musical improv as a performing art and a playground for composition, character, and ensemble work—great for theater programs, music departments, improv clubs, and orientation weeks. We can also offer residencies and multi-session series available to go deeper into song structure, group dynamics, and show forms.
Past examples include a 2hr workshop for Opera students at Luther College, a 3hr workshop for upcoming acting students in NYC, and coaching for indie improv teams.
Entertainment & events
Need a performance? We can deliver a group performance of short-form and long-form improv. Or Matt Hoffman, founder of Double-U Improv, can play endless background piano comprised of showtune/musicals and other genres, solo improv piano/vocal sets. We can tailor the performance to your event—holiday parties, fundraisers, festivals, and private celebrations. Content stays in bounds for mixed audiences; we work with you on length, tone, and any themes you want in the mix.
Matt brings experience from NYC musical improv (including producing showcases and coaching teams), musical direction, piano teaching, and live theater—so workshops and shows are grounded in real stage practice, not just icebreakers.
